Aunt Patti's Thanksgiving Yams

Ingredients:

2 – 29 oz cans of yams

½ cup dark Karo syrup

½ cup dark brown sugar

¼ cup heavy cream or half & half

2 Tbl margarine

¼ tsp salt

½ tsp ground cinnamon


Directions:

Place yams in baking dish. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile combine remaining ingredients in a sauce pan stir constantly until boiling.

Simmer for 5 minutes.

Pour sauce over yams bake another 15 minutes and baste often.
